Refund, Returns and Cancellation Policies:

Returned items should be in their original condition in a bubble envelope or box. For your protection, we recommend you send your returns by insured US mail, UPS or Fed Ex. Include a copy of your invoice or packing slip and send to:

Is gift wrapping available?

All orders at Shop Cancerversary are shipped with gift wrap quality. This means that all our items are gift boxed in our pink Shop Cancerversary Boxes at NO EXTRA CHARGE! If you wish to include a note with your gift, you may do so at the check out page.

How do I care for my jewelry?

All jewelry items at Shop Cancerversary are made of sterling silver (925), or gold-fill/gold plate over sterling silver. Any exceptions will be noted. Silver jewelry is susceptible to tarnish due to the natural reaction the metal has with the air. To keep it looking great, it is best to store your silver jewelry in a plastic zip lock bag to prevent tarnishing. To clean your items, use a silver polishing cloth to remove dirt and bring back the shine. It is important to avoid exposing harsh chemicals like chlorine, cosmetics, hair spray, and perfume on pearls, gemstones or sterling silver.

What is sterling silver, or 925 silver?

Sterling silver is an alloy consisting of 92.5%, pure fine silver and 7.5% other metals (usually copper). Jewelry makers use sterling silver because of its strength and durability, fine silver alone is very soft. All silver items and components at Shop Cancerversary are sterling silver (925) unless otherwise noted.

What is Gold Filled, Gold Plated?

Gold filled jewelry is made up of gold tubing, which is then filled with brass. This gives the item the look and feel of gold at a much lower price. Gold fill will not flake, peel, or wear off. At Shop Cancerversary, our gold filled jewelry meets the 14/20 gold fill standards unless otherwise noted. This means that the gold tubing consists of 14 karat gold, and the tubing makes up 5% (1/20) of the total metal weight.

The gold plated, "vermeil style" jewelry items at Shop Cancerversary uses gem quality, 24 karat gold that is 40 micro inches (1 micron) over sterling silver. There is a fine layer of nickel between the silver and gold to prevent the silver from migrating through the gold to the surface. It has a satin finish and is thick and durable.

What is Rhodium Plated?

Some of our silver jewelry at Shop Cancerversary is rhodium plated, and is noted in the description. Rhodium is a precious metal, a member of the platinum family. Rhodium plated silver will not scratch as easily as silver and will not tarnish or discolor. It gives the silver the look of platinum.
